The Flag of Honor contains the names of all those that perished in the World Trade Towers, the Pentagon, United flights175 and 93 and American flights 11 and 77.*
The Flag of Heroes contains the names of the emergency services personnel - the heroes who gave their lives so that others could live.
Together these flags give the families, friends, all of America and the world symbols that will forever memorialize, individually, the men, women and children that were lost that dreadful day.
The following links supply great information on how to help support the men and women in the military.

Thomas Aquinas lists military service in the order of charity, having at its core love--a filial love of country. As a newborn naturally loves his mother, a citizen loves his mother country. As stated in the Catholic Encyclopedia,
"nature and religion impose on citizens certain obligations towards their country and its rulers. These obligations may be reduced to those of patriotism and obedience. Patriotism requires that the citizen should have a reasonable esteem and love for his country. He should take an interest in his country's history, he should know how to value her institutions, and he should be prepared to sacrifice himself for her welfare. In his country's need it is not only a noble thing, but it is a sacred duty to lay down one's life for the safety of the commonwealth."
Our mission is to fulfill a grateful nation's commitment to its veterans by providing high quality healthcare, promoting health through prevention and maintaining excellence in teaching and research.
Homes for the Brave’s mission is to end homelessness among veterans. This powerful statement conveys just a small fraction of the organizational strength and personal commitment dedicated to this project.
The WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT was created to help the thousands of wounded soldiers returning home from the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan and to provide assistance to their families. The majority of it's efforts are concentrated on the wounded who return to Walter Reed Medical Center and other medical facilities. As the number of wounded steadily increases, it is easy to see how the needs of these brave individuals also increase.
Please review their BACKPACK PROGRAM provides much needed comfort items such as toiletries and other personal goods. It is visible on the faces of these heroes that they know their fellow citizens and veterans care about them and appreciate their bravery and courage.
They have a program called the yellow ribbon campaign, the difference being that all the monies raised goes to the families of any individual that is in the Ct. National Guard, and Organized Militia members. They must demonstrate a need, before any money goes out.
They have 3 basic style of magnetic ribbons:
Yellow,
Red, White and Blue, which say Support our troops, and
Black which is a POW MIA - you are not forgotten.
They come in 2 sizes: $5.00 for the 8" X 3" (these are the ones you see most of), and $3.00 for the smaller size 4" X 1.50 "
