What would I give Jesus for his birthday and why
I would give to Jesus, a candle. I chose this because it represents light. Jesus is the light of our lives. He gave us life and we should honor Him. The candle also represents warmth, happiness, joy, and most of all hope and love. These are some things that we need desperately in our world today to make it a better, more peaceful place to live. Candles are used in good times and bad. They are used in funerals to celebrate the life of one that was close to us. They are also used at baptisms to commemorate the new faith of a newborn child of Christ. Candles also can be used in times of need to help with prayer. These all symbolize that Jesus is there for us when we need him and even when we do not. He is in our hearts forever, telling us the difference from right and wrong, good and bad. Jesus is sometimes referred to as the Light that warms our hearts.
A flame on a candle can be everlasting. Jesus is always there for us, just as we should be there to worship Him. When you blow out the flame on a candle, you show that it is not needed anymore. But, in our hearts, the candle is always there to be lit when we need it, to brighten our days. In our hearts the flame never dies. Jesus is our hope for new life. If we keep praying and loving God, following His commandments and loving others as we should, our flame will burn forever. Never let the flame die.
